Reiki is a word made up of two Japanese words
Rei- meaning ( universal, spiritual powers ) can be interpreted to mean supernatural knowledge or spiritual consciousness. This is considered “ the wisdom that comes from God or the Higher Self “. This is the God - Consciousness which is to be believed as all knowing.
KI - has many other names such as Chi, in Chinese, Prama in Sanskirt. All meaning “ Life - Force “. It is know as the vital life force or the universal life force. It is the non - physical energy force that animates all living things.
All living things have a life force which circulates through and around it. Once this life has expired the life force departs. When your life force is low, or there is restriction to it’s flow, your are then going to be more vulnerable to illness. When your life force is high and flows freely, you of course are less likely to become ill.
This Life Force plays a very important role in everything we do. It animates ( gives life ) to our bodies and is also the primary energy for our emotions, thoughts, and spiritual life.
For thousands of years the Chinese have studied Chi ( life force ) discovering there are many different kinds. The “ Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine” which is over 4,000 years old lists thirty - two different kinds of Chi or Ki.
Ki is also used for physical and mental training for martial artist . It is used in Pranayame ( A yoga breathing exercise ) and by Shamans of all cultures for divination, manifestation, psychic awareness, and healing.
trong>Ki is a non - physical energy and used by all healers. It is present around all of us and can be accumulated and guided through the body & mind.
So the true meaning for the word Reiki is “ the supernatural or spiritual energy life force.”

Distance Healing
Some of you have asked my about Distance Healing and how it works.
First of all for anyone to receive Reiki Energy the person has to have an open mind and an open heart. They also need to be a believer. To believe that they can change and have within themselves to do do.
First of all for anyone to receive Reiki Energy the person has to have an open mind and an open heart. They also need to be a believer. To believe that they can change and have within themselves to do do.
To receive Distance Healing, the practioner needs the name of the person, the location, the reason for the healing, ( ex: certain kind of surgery, illness, whatever it is, the person is in need of ) and they also need the consent of the person to send the healing, and again the person needs to be open minded.
When the practioner has this information, they then write on a piece of paper and they alone, or with a group ( which works much better ) draw either over the name, or in their minds eye, the Reiki Distance Healing Symbol and send their intent to the person and the purpose it is intented for.
It is the intent that is sent and by the practioner or practioners ( the inner circle ) that the person receives. How this works is the same effect as prayers given to thoes who are in need.
Distance Healing can be sent for all kinds of problem from helping healing to occur faster to helping you pet deliver their babies. There is nothing that Distance won't help with. It can also be used to be sent into the future or back to the past.
On spiritual level, we are all connected, divine law knows not time or space.
Here is an example of a Distance Healing:
On New Years Eve my inner circle was notified that one of our practioners mother was taken to the hospital with a stroke. She asked that we send distance to her for the Doctors told her that her mothers condition was very grave that she was in a comma, and if she was to awaken that she would most likely loose the ability to use her left side.
We were meeting that night for an inner circle to particpate in a world wide Distance Healing session. This was a joining of different inner circles from all over the world who together at the same time send healing to everyone on our lists. We had added our friend's mother to the list, and at the stroke of midnight we all sent Distance Healing to our list. It was about an hour later when our friend called to tell us, her mother had come out of the comma and that even though she was having a difficult time she could move her left arm and leg. The Doctor said that she would need PT but that in time she should get back most of her ability.
Today her mother is in full use of her left side.
Her mother told me later, that she had felt a warm sensation enter her body and when she woke up it was 12:01am on New Years Day.
So you see Distance Healing can be of very good use!

Another Reiki use
Hi all,
I thought you might be interested in this little bit of news I got tonight.
A friend informed me tonight about a incident that occured to one of the girls after leaving a inner circle session. She was the last one to leave and after closing the room went to her car. Of course it was another snowy cold night and when she tried to start the car, she found her battery dead. She had no cell phone with her and the nearest service station was four blocks away. So without hesitation she popped the hood and got out. She placed both hands on the battery and ran energy for about 20 mintues,got back into the car and guess what...YOU got it, the car started! she made it to the service station and the serviceman told her that he didn't know how she made it the battery was dead.
Now you can say the car sat long enough to retreive the enough power to start it's self...but remember the car was dead when she got in it.
This is just another way of showing that we can take advantage of Reiki to help us to a greater life.

Healing Hands
It was October 13, 2006. The city of Buffalo, New York and it's surrounding areas was hit with a unsuspected ice storm. Though we are know for our snow storms, to get one in October was a real shocker. This storm knocked out the electric and phones for many that lasted over a week.
While sitting by my open stove ( lucky my gas was still on ) I heard a pounding on my door and my name being yelled. My neighbor from down the street was standing there crying that her eight year old son had fallen down the basement stairs, and she needed my help to get him to the ER.
When we got back to her house, I could see that the boy had broken his leg. The area right below the knee was swollen and starting to turn a bright red/blue in color.
We put the boy in the back seat of the car and I got in with him. I placed my hands one on the top of the leg, the other on the bottom. I then started to run energy into the leg. Within minutes the boy stopped crying and started to calm down.
When we reached the hospital, I continued to run energy while waiting to be seen by the Dr., and then again while waiting for the xrays. When the Dr. returned he told us the leg had been broken in two places, but what he didn't understand was that the way the breaks was, the bones should have been further apart. And they were almost put back together. Also he noticed that the brusing that was dark not just an hour ago, was almost gone.
He then gave the lad a walking cast instead of a regular cast, and told the mother to take the child to a specialist of which he gave her a name and phone number. He also told her that the boy would probably be in the cast for six to eight weeks.
For two weeks I met with the boy for one hour a day and continued to give him energy. At the end of the two weeks the mother took him to see the specialist. They did a series of new xrays and again the Dr. was shocked. The bones were right where they should be and healing quicker than he ever thought they would. Instead of the normal six to eight weeks the boy was able to have the cast removed in four week. He is now running and playing as usual.
There were others that came to see me during and after the storm. who were relieved of their ache and pains by the technique of running energy.
I was able to do this technique, after being attuned to Reiki. Reiki is the technique of giving and receiving energy. Each and everyone of us has this ability, you only have to be reawakened to the technique. Reiki can be use for any purpose needed. I feel that we all should be attuned to Reiki not only for ourselves, but for the sake of the world around us.
I would like to hear from anyone who would like to be attuned to Reiki, or have their own stories to tell
